Spain condemns Hafter bombing of Merzek

Spain condemned the bombing commeted by the militias of the leader of Al-Karama Operation, Khalifa Hafter on the city of Merzek, which resulted in dozens of casualties.

Spain, in a statement published by the Libyan Foreign Ministry, on Tuesday, to respect international humanitarian law in every circumstance, deploring the serious consequences of the armed crisis that has been occurring in the suburbs of the capital since last April.

Spain affirmed its commitment to support the efforts of the UN envoy to Libya Ghassan Salama in the search for a political solution, and that there is no military solution to the Libyan crisis.

It is noteworthy that about 43 people died after air raids by Hafter aircraft on a gathering of people in Merzek last Sunday.
